The School of Arts & Sciences is offering the opportunity for UAS students and Juneau community members to attend a livestream of a talk hosted at the University of Alaska Anchorage College of Arts & Sciences with former Congressperson Liz Cheney. The livestream can only be viewed on campus, from the Egan Lecture Hall; former Congressperson Cheney will not be in person at UAS. Doors open at 6, the live stream starts at 6:30, with an opportunity to ask questions!

Talk Description: "Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney is at the fulcrum in our political divide. Displaying courage, discipline, and integrity in the wake of a national crisis, Cheney’s actions during her last term in Congress laid bare her commitment to country and democracy over politics—and they pose new questions about the future of the American two-party system. Hear Cheney tell the stories of how she arrived at her personal convictions, her remarkable career in Congress, and the road that lies ahead. Her insight into policy, principled leadership, and the future of bipartisanship is unparalleled."

Students: Free (sponsored by donations and community ticket sales)

Community Members: Suggested Donation of $10 – donatons will be used sponsor student tickets, cover event costs, and help support Arts & Sciences' ability to host future events with a range of perspectives. Donations can be given here or in cash or credit at the door.
