Dietetics student, Paula Veshti, is providing nutritional education through a series of cooking classes, and will lead three dinners, each of which will feature a healthy, nutritious theme. Saturday, March 15, 5-7PM: Recipes targeted for diabetics, prediabetics and anyone who wants to learn how to manage blood sugar levels and balance meals with protein and fiber to control insulin spikes. Location: See House, 611 Lincoln st, Sitka, AK 99835

Saturday 22, 5-7PM: Heat-healthy dishes inspired by the Mediterranean diet, a whole-food diet filled with fruits, vegetables, good-quality meat and seafood, whole grains and legumes. Location: Sitka Lutheran Church, 224 Lincoln st. Sitka, AK 99835

Saturday, April 19, 5-7PM: A paleo-inspired meal and dessert. Paleo dishes, which contain no gluten, dairy, refined sugar or refined oil, are considered anti-inflammatory. Location: See House, 611 Lincoln St. Sitka, AK 99835
